things are good.
i have two of the most amazing roommates EVER !!!
got rid of the eyebrow ring, & got my lip pierced.
adopted a kitten whose name is megatron.
i'm passing math...so far.
making some awesome new friends.
leaving old, worthless, disappointing friends behind.
going out almost every night.
going on spontaneous road trips.
spending too much money.
fighting constantly w/ mom and grandma.
worrying constantly about my 15-year-old sister drinking alcohol.
working an average of 7 hours a week (lame).
starting bartending school at the end of this month.
not biting my nails.
not getting wasted and hooking up with random strangers!
...that's about it.

1. chances are that i don't like you right now.

3. i'd rather make someone feel stupid than admit
that i'm wrong.
4. i'm constantly being disappointed by my friends.
5. i let it slide because i am more afraid of being
alone/starting over.
6. i smile WAY too much. 20% of the time it's fake.
7. hot showers are my assumed cure for anything.
8. i don't like getting too close to people. i assume
that i'll end up being screwed over...which i do 85%
of the time.
9. i'm extremely indecisive. to the point where it
could be a real problem.
10. i don't like to cry. i'd rather keep my emotions
locked up.
11. disney movies are truly magical.
12. i'm one of the biggest pushovers ever. & i hate it.
13. i'm not good at beer pong. it's all about luck for
me. i don't have any skill in that department.
14. i haven't had a really good/intelligent/meaningful
conversation with someone in a long time. i miss those.
15. i miss my cat. a lot.
16. he's always stoned. & it bothers me. but it shouldn't.
17. death cab for cutie songs match every single one of my
moods. so i listen to them every day.
18. misspellings are one of my biggest pet peeves.
19. i'm back to biting my nails again. i hate it.
20. i like to make people feel good/happy. brings me some
sense of satisfaction.

this weekend was everything i wanted it to be. jenny and brianna came !!!
the boys were here since their frisbee thing got cancelled, so we got to
hang out with them.dan couldn't make it, but he was missed, of course. even
with thomas and roeland here, we were able to pull the pranks that we had
planned on pulling (goldfish in roeland's tub & saran wrapping thomas' door
frame while he was sleeping, bubble bath in the toilet). not ALL worked as
we planned, but it was all worth it. saturday afternoon/evening was the best.
frisbee, chili's for bri's birthday, (HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRI !!!),
and a get together at roeland's. i honestly thought roeland's was going to suck
since brianna couldn't stay and we really didn't know the guys there, but it
ended up being quite awesome. made some new friends & learned some interesting
things. slept 4 people to a bed again. it was awful this time b/c freaking
cameron insisted on sprawling out completely over the bed. he's lucky he was
nice for the rest of the night or i would have pushed him off. not even joking.

let's get something straight. k?

friendship is a COLLABORATIVE EFFORT. if you don't know what that means, i'll explain it for you.

basically, it means that it shouldn't be up to ONE person to make a friendship function.

that includes CALLING SOMEONE WHEN YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO CALL THEM. goddamnit.

this summer i didn't see much of my friends at all. that's about 90% my fault b/c of my schedule. but with SOME of my friends, the only reason i saw them at all was because i called them first and organized it...which is fine except for the fact that it's usually me who gets us together.

now lately i've called a couple friends and have gotten NO response at all, and know what that tells me?....that tells me that things just aren't going to work out.

i'm tired of pulling weight. and at this point my summer has totally jaded me, and i give up.

as someone who has started "brand new" more than once in my life already, i can honestly say that friends are 110% replacable, and i have no problem leaving people behind.

i tried to make it work, but i'm tired, and aggravated and DAMN ready to move on.
